Privacy policy
1. Controller
AMZ-PRODUCTS GmbH, Krummspät 78, 26810 Westoverledingen, Germany, represented by Thomas Porrmann, Lisa Saadthoff. Email: [email protected], phone: 0160 7757026. Further details in the legal notice. This policy is based on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Summary
- The teleprompter runs entirely in your browser. Your script is not transmitted to us or anyone else.
- We do not set cookies, do not use analytics or tracking tools and do not load content from third-party servers (fonts and styles are hosted on our own web space).
- If you buy Teleprompter Pro, you pay at Stripe. Stripe processes your payment and contact data (section 5). Stripe and we never receive your scripts.
- There are no forms and no user accounts on this website.
3. Hosting at DigitalOcean
This website is hosted by DigitalOcean, LLC (New York, USA). Each time a page is requested, the server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested address (including any parameters, e.g. from an ad), amount of data transferred, browser and operating system, and the referring page. Purpose: delivering the website, security and stable operation. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, working service). DigitalOcean acts as our processor. Data may be transferred to the USA; the transfer is based on the EU Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR, EU-US Data Privacy Framework) insofar as the provider is certified under it, and otherwise on EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR). We do not analyse these logs. Retention: log data is kept only as long as needed for delivery, security and troubleshooting, at most 14 days, and then deleted; individual entries are kept longer only if needed to investigate a specific security incident, and only until it is resolved.
4. Storage in your browser (localStorage)
The free teleprompter stores nothing on your device. The page only stores data in your browser's local storage in these cases, each triggered by you:
- When you click “Buy Pro”, a marker without personal data (value “1”) is stored so the page can show the “Activate Pro” button when you return.
- When you click “Activate Pro”, a marker (value “1”) is stored so that Pro stays active in this browser.
- When you click “Save current” in the Pro script library, the script text, a title and the time of saving are stored so that you can open the script again later.
This data never leaves your device and we cannot read it. Legal basis for storing it on your device: § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act – strictly necessary for the service you requested). You can delete it at any time with “Delete” in the library or in your browser settings. Imported files (.txt, .docx) are read only inside your browser and are not uploaded.
5. Payment via Stripe
For the purchase of Teleprompter Pro we use Stripe Payments Europe, Limited (1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, Ireland). When you click “Buy Pro”, a Stripe payment page opens. There you enter your payment data (e.g. card details), email address and, depending on the payment method, your name and country. Stripe processes this data to carry out the payment, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. We receive from Stripe the details of the purchase (amount, time, email address, name and country if provided, payment status), not your full card details. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (tax and commercial retention obligations). Stripe may transfer data to affiliates in the USA (Stripe, Inc.); this is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR) insofar as Stripe is certified under it, and otherwise on EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR). Stripe's own privacy policy also applies on the payment page. Retention on our side: purchase records are kept as long as German commercial and tax law requires (Handelsgesetzbuch, Abgabenordnung) and then deleted.
6. Ads on Google (Google Ads)
We may advertise this website with search ads on Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). No Google code is embedded on this website: no conversion tracking, no remarketing, no Google cookies. If you click an ad, Google processes data about your click under its own responsibility and privacy policy; data may also be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. The ad's target address may contain a parameter (e.g. which ad group you saw) that appears in the server logs as described in section 3. We only see how often ads were shown and clicked (aggregated figures in the Google Ads account). Legal basis for our advertising: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
7. Contact by email or phone
If you write to us or call us, we process your details to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them when they are no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). Please use the contact details above.
9. Right to lodge a complaint
You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example with the authority responsible for us: Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany.
10. No automated decision-making
There is no automated decision-making, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR).
