How to use this online teleprompter
- Paste your script. Copy it from Google Docs, Word or your notes into the box at the top. Short paragraphs are easier to read than long blocks.
- Place the window close to your camera. On a laptop, keep the browser window at the top of the screen, right under the webcam, so your eyes stay close to the lens. Narrow the text width so your eyes move less.
- Set speed and size. Start slow and press ↑ or ↓ while reading until the pace feels natural. The speed is shown in pixels per second.
- Go full screen with F if you read from a separate monitor or a tablet-sized screen.
- Using teleprompter glass? Press M to mirror the text. Prompter glass (a beam splitter in front of the lens) reflects the screen, so the text must be mirrored to read the right way round. Use “Flip” if your screen is mounted upside down.
- Pause any time with the space bar or by clicking the text, and jump back with Home.
Teleprompter for PC, laptop and presentations
Because it runs in the browser, there is nothing to install on Windows, Mac, Linux or Chromebook – try it in the browser you want to use. For video calls or recordings with presentation slides, open the teleprompter in a second browser window, make it narrow and place it next to the camera, then share only the window with your slides. For a relaxed reading pace in presentations, aim for a slower speed than for a voice-over.

Yes. Pasting a script, scrolling, speed, text size, width, mirror and flip, full screen and keyboard control are free with no time limit and no watermark. Only the Pro tools (library, import, speaking time, countdown, sections, colors and fonts, reading guide) cost a one-time €9.
No. The teleprompter is a web page and needs JavaScript. It is made for a computer with a keyboard. We have not tested it in every browser and on every device, so please try the free version in your browser before buying Pro – Pro uses the same teleprompter. On phones and tablets there are no keyboard shortcuts, and some browsers (e.g. Safari on iPhone) do not offer full screen; the page tells you if full screen is not available.
No. Your text is only processed in your browser. It is not sent to us. If you use the Pro library, saved scripts are kept in your browser’s local storage on your device; you can delete them at any time.

Not at the moment. Remote control from a second device would need a server connection, and this teleprompter deliberately runs only in your browser. Use the keyboard, a presentation clicker that sends arrow or space keys, or click the text.
